What Do I Need To Start Juicing

Unless you’ve been literally living under a rock, you’ve heard that juicing is good as fuck for you. If you don’t juice, you sure as shit should be. I juice because it’s delicious and nutritious. Don’t get bogged down by which recipe is perfect for you. Just keep to 80/20 of veggies/fruit and you can’t go wrong. It definitely takes some fine tuning to dial your recipe’s in because every one’s taste buds are different. I use the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor and I love the shit out of this guy.  Super easy to clean, very powerful, I put entire lemons, apples, everything. If it fits in the tube, it can juice it. I live close to a local farmers direct store so it’s always super fresh and cheaper than the chain stores groceries and Whole Foods. So here’s an example of my list and recipes. 

Grocery List:

  • Spinach
  • Beets
  • Cilantro
  • Kale
  • Lemons
  • Fuji Apples
  • Limes
  • Cucumber
  • Carrots

Total: $12

Juice #1

Juice Recipe 1


1 Fuji Apple

2 Beets

Apple Beet

1/2 bunch each of Spinach, Kale, Cilantro

Spinach Kale

5 Carrots, 1 Cucumber,  1 Lemon, 1 Lime.
Finished JuiceVoila.  Throw it in your bottle, take to work for lunch, drink half first thing half for snack. Whatever you want. Don’t get worried about the BS “oh the nutrients escape if you don’t drink it within 10 minutes” that haters will spout.  It’s still 1 bazillion times better than fast food.

I do the same when people tell me that too much fat is bad for you. Idiots. Ignore them. Be a beast. High Proteins and Fats. Low carbs with a once a week massive refeed carb/cheat/stuff your face day.

I’ll be shredded in 1 month. Then I’ll get my cast off and hit the weights again. I’ve been told it’s much more fun to bulk while you’re lean. Can’t wait.
