In January 2011, I weighed 210 lbs. I was skinny fat. No muscle, two and a half chins, huge belly, tiny arms, the works. I had just moved out of the apartment I had been sharing with my ex-gf, moving back to my home state, California, into my dads garage. I was sick of being fat and motivated to change.
My research had led me across the Paleo diet. It made perfect sense to me. Fruits, nuts, meats, and veggies were all things I enjoy eating. Cutting out carbs was harder than I thought but doable. I had also torrented the Insanity workout program. I never once counted calories. I just ate till I was full every day and was about 80% consistent. It’s that easy.
I never once finished the entire Insanity program. But for 6 months I would guesstimate that I did at least 3 work outs a week on average. A lot of 5 day a week weeks. A few 1-2 day weeks. But I saw consistent fat loss, Strength gains, endurance went through the roof and I was feeling good for the first time in over a year.
By July 2011 I weighed in at 175 lbs. Skinny as shit but at least I wasn’t fat anymore. In September I started lifting weights and bulking. but that’s for another post.
TL:DR Paleo+Insanity (or any HIIT)= rapid fat loss
