The Benefits Of Having Your Spot Locked Down

Last weekend, out with my girl and Kyle from This Is Trouble, we pre-gamed at my pad, then walked over to my local watering hole. I’ve been a regular there since they opened, know all the original bartenders, know the bouncer, never wait in line, etc. Here’s a little story of the benefits of having your spot locked down.

In Da Club

We’ll were on the patio with our big ass drinks and I see an old friend in line. I go say hi and give him some of my drink. One of the patio bouncers sees me, immediately calls me over and tells me I can’t give booze to people who haven’t been carded yet, takes my drink and kicks me out. I’m laughing the entire time. I apologize tell him I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble and he says I gotta go. I ask him if I can have my drink back if I get back in. He looks at the long line, laughs and says sure if you get back in I’ll save it for you.

I walk out, go have a laugh with my friends. They’re all cracking up and saying sorry for me getting kicked out. I laugh it off and say “Dude I know everyone here watch this.”

I walk straight to the front. Bouncer sees me, I motion that it’s just me and he lets me right in. I walk straight back to Kyle and Kait, bouncer who kicked me out sees me, laughs and hands me back my drink. I look over to the friend I gave me drink to, raise my glass and start cracking up again.

All and all I was out of the bar for 30 seconds. Laughs were had by all involved and the night continued. If I were at a different bar it could have ruined the night. But I wasn’t, so it didn’t.

I’ve cut down my nights out drastically. But when I do go out, I go big because 1. I have my spot locked down. 2. I can walk there so no dui risk and 3. I never have to wait in line.

If I didn’t have those three factors working for me, I wouldn’t go out much. Find a few quality spots and own them. Reap the benefits of investing in locking down a spot instead of just wandering to different spots every weekend. It will pay off it more than a few ways.

I’m taking my little brother camping for his birthday. Have a great weekend.

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that
automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time
and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like
this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your
blog and I look forward to your new updates.

I’m not sure what exactly you mean. you want your blog to tweet your tweets? I use the twitter timeline (jetpack) widget to show my latest tweets on my sidebar and I can set my new blog posts to be tweeted at specific times just through wordpress. So if you want to have your twitter show up on your blog the jetpack twitter widget does the job.
